Las Alpujarras is a 70 km long mountainous region located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and made up of 25 municipalities whose capital is Órgiva, located in the Guadalfeo river valley. There are 10 charming villages that you don’t want to miss.
If you are looking to explore the area, Cónchar is a great place to start. It is only 30 minutes by car from there to the main Alpujarra towns of Orgiva and Capileira. The walks are great and there are many impressive viewpoints all around.
