Outdoors: Alcazar waterfall

There is a beautiful hike through the Arroyo de Alcázar, visiting its waterfall, the Urquízar baths and following the Dúrcal river to the Escondida Waterfall.

We start from the upper part of the town of Cónchar, from the Mirador del Atajo. We walk for about 200 meters along the GR 3210 road to turn off in the first lane we come across and continue along the lane to the right, which goes down to Baños de Urquízar. We find a viewpoint, from which we can see the section of the stream and river that we are going to visit, and the Sierra Nevada in the background.

The track begins a descent towards the Arroyo de Alcázar. We pass next to the Acequia de la Madre Maestra and continue descending until we cross the river. The path takes us to the Baños de Urquízar (Baño Chico), where there are a couple of small hot water pools (about 28 ºC). Following this path parallel to the Dúrcal river, we will arrive at the Alcázar Waterfall, where you can enjoy its natural beauty.
